Hah. Plagiarism.

Over emoticons, of all things. guess they're the easiest to copy; they're just a few pixels.

So. Trisphee recently got new emoticons. I was told that they look identical to my cat-thing emotes that I made for solia, so I went and looked.

Wow.

I made a post in their announcement thread about it and pointed it out, and was contacted by the admin, who was understanding and co-oporative about the entire situation. Turns out, one of their users made them and the staff didn't double-check to see if they were plagiarized or not. Initially, I let them use them, as long as I was properly credited. But today, I just couldn't stand it anymore. I PM'd the admin asking for them to be taken down. What I was told next was just downright infuriating.

The artist claimed it was a coincidence, they did not copy anything.

Really?


Really?

Tell me how that's a mere coincidence. Go on.

It's pathetic how they used my rejected ones too- like oAo, sigh, and not impressed. Heh. They didn't steal any of the animated ones I made though. (Couldn't? Didn't know how to animate? Wasn't on my blog for you to snatch?)


I provided the images above as more proof that they stole them. They've been taken down now, thankfully.



This entire situation was just pathetic and laughable. Wow. Own up to your damn actions, it's the least you can do.
